Release, an immersive concert that opens Tai Kwun's autumn outdoor music festival and closes Alicja Kwade's public artwork Waiting Pavilions, runs on 12 November and 13 November 2026 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The audience walks from the Laundry Steps through the Prison Yard to F Hall, with a male choir singing the Prisoners' Chorus from Beethoven's Fidelio, excerpts from Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time and new settings by a Hong Kong composer.
